About The Position

The Woodstock Inn & Resort, a beloved resort in New England, is seeking a Kitchen Steward to join their team. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized dish station, three compartment sink, and staff cafeteria. The position involves ensuring all garbage, recyclables, and cardboard boxes are organized and taken out, as well as performing nightly cleaning of the kitchen, including sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning stoves, hood vents, griddles, grills, and closing down the dish area.

Requirements

  • Three months of experience at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and organized dish station, three compartment sink, and staff cafeteria.
  • Take out and keep all garbage, recyclables, and cardboard boxes organized.
  • Perform nightly cleaning of the kitchen, including sweeping and mopping all floors, stoves, hood vents, griddles, and grills.
  • Close down the dish area.
