About The Position

The Kitchen Staff position at California Chicken Cafe in Santa Monica is responsible for preparing the restaurant's scratch-made recipes and maintaining a clean, neat, and organized back kitchen and facilities. This role involves following production lists, processing food, storing and labeling items correctly, and ensuring guest orders are made accurately. Strong communication regarding any issues with food quality, equipment, or the work environment is essential, as is adherence to all company policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Must attend and pass California Chicken Café Road to Success class within first month of hire
Able to understand and speak basic English
Must enjoy and be able to succeed in a fast-paced work environment
Must pass Food Handlers course and test in compliance with CA state law requirements
Must be authorized to work in the United States

Previous restaurant experience preferred

Responsibilities

Store and label foods according to Health Department regulations and company policy

Read and adhere to all company policies and procedures
