About The Position

This is a performance-based growth path position at Steve's Hot Dogs. The company hires for potential and trains for excellence. The role begins as an hourly team member to learn the company's operations from the ground up, with a clear, accelerated roadmap to transition into a Shift Manager role based on demonstrated mastery of stations and culture. The philosophy is that one cannot lead a team until they have experienced the roles themselves. The training is divided into three phases: Phase 1 involves learning every station (Kitchen, FOH, Bar) as a regular staff member. Phase 2 includes 1-on-1 mentorship and fast-track operational training while working the floor. Phase 3 is the promotion to Shift Manager upon demonstrating mastery of all stations, reliability, and the ability to motivate the team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, servers, and support personnel, to deliver outstanding food service experiences.
  • Oversee food preparation, presentation, and quality control to ensure adherence to company standards and customer expectations.
  • Manage inventory control and food safety procedures, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and maintaining proper storage practices.
  • Coordinate menu planning and execution for various dining formats such as fine dining, catering events, and banquet services.
  • Supervise shift operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient staffing coverage during peak hours.
  • Implement training programs focused on culinary skills, food handling safety, and customer service excellence.
  • Maintain compliance with health regulations and safety protocols to uphold a safe working environment for all team members.
