About The Position

The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily kitchen operations for the assigned building and responsible for supporting the Building Manager and Assistant Project manager. This position is responsible for oversight and management of performing duties of the food preparation for each meal ensuring proper quantities are progressively prepared in accordance with the standards of Tri-Service Food Code. Quality customer service is expected to be provided to the customer at all times. Knowledge and willingness to learn all aspects of the job is a requirement of the position.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in food service or a related field.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience supervising or leading teams.
  • Must possess or pass ServeSafe Food Protection Management Certification or DoD equivalent within 90 days of employment.
  • Must possess knowledge of the Tri-Service Standards (Sanitation and Medical standards).
  • Ability to follow recipe cards and calculate recipe conversions.
  • Basic computer knowledge (Excel, Microsoft Word, etc.).
  • Ability to interact appropriately with customers and team members.
  • Good management communication (writing and verbal) and people skills.
  • Meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on specified contract(s).
  • Able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in custodial or related services.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with government personnel/customers concerning contracted services is preferred.
