About The Position

The Kitchen Manager at The Beach House is responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality, consistency, safety, and efficiency. This role leads kitchen staff, supports menu execution, manages inventory and costs, and maintains compliance with health and safety standards in a fast-paced, high-volume beach resort environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years of kitchen management or supervisory experience in a high-volume restaurant or resort setting
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Thorough knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods
  • ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain within a designated timeframe)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in coastal, outdoor, or resort-style dining environments preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, production, and service
  • Supervise, train, schedule, and motivate kitchen staff to ensure optimal performance
  • Maintain food quality, presentation, and consistency according to established standards
  • Enforce all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations (local, state, and company policies)
  • Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, and proper storage of food and supplies
  • Control food and labor costs; assist with budgeting and cost analysis
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and management team on menus, specials, and events
  • Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas
  • Handle guest concerns related to food promptly and professionally
  • Support banquet, special event, and seasonal service needs as required
