Located just steps from the Gulf, the Beach House Restaurant at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort offers a relaxed, beachside dining experience with both open-air and indoor seating. Guests visit for fresh coastal cuisine, handcrafted cocktails, and laid-back coastal energy — all supported by a team dedicated to genuine hospitality and exceptional service. The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while delivering friendly, attentive service in a fast-paced beachside restaurant environment. This role requires strong product knowledge, efficiency behind the bar, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests while supporting servers and maintaining Sandestin’s service standards.
Requirements
- Previous bartending experience preferred, ideally in a high-volume or resort environment
- Knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, and wine service
- Strong and Clear communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Professional appearance and positive, guest-focused attitude
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Must be dependable and able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Food Handler and Responsible Alcohol Service certifications required (or ability to obtain)
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and resort standards
- Provide engaging, professional service to bar guests and dining room patrons
- Maintain full knowledge of beverage menus, specialty cocktails, beer, and wine offerings
- Monitor guest consumption and ensure responsible alcohol service
- Accurately enter orders into POS and process guest payments
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service
- Assist servers with beverage orders in a timely manner
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs
- Set up and break down bar area including opening and closing duties
- Follow all sanitation, safety, and alcohol compliance regulations
- Create a fun, welcoming environment consistent with the Beach House’s casual coastal atmosphere
- Collaborate with restaurant leadership and team members to ensure seamless service
