We are seeking a Kitchen Manager who is detail oriented, quality driven, and committed to upholding food safety and brand consistency across every salad we serve. The Kitchen Manager oversees all back of house operations, ensuring that recipes are executed with precision, ingredients are handled with care, and safety protocols are always followed. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in culinary excellence, appreciates consistency, thrives in a fast paced environment, and leads with accountability and teamwork. As Kitchen Manager, you’ll work closely with the franchise owners & management team to maintain operational standards, train and inspire the kitchen team, and ensure every guest experiences the premium quality that defines Green + The Grain. Requirements

  • Previous kitchen management or culinary leadership experience required
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance
  • Passion for quality and taste, with a sharp eye for detail and consistency
  • Ability to train and mentor a team while maintaining high performance standards
  • Comfort using POS systems, kitchen display systems, and digital training tools
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure
  • Strong work ethic with a hands on, lead by example approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to upholding brand standards
  • Desire to grow into larger leadership roles within the company
  • Competent computer skills
  • Comfortable working on your feet and lifting up to 50 lbs as part of daily kitchen operations

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all back of house operations, including prep and inventory
  • Support the franchise owners & management teams in daily operations and decision making
  • Lead by example, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence
  • Handle shift management, including opening & closing responsibilities
  • Train, coach, and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safe food handling processes
  • Ensure all recipes are prepared with accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail
  • Uphold the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness
  • Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients, prep, ensuring food safety & quality standards are being met consistently
  • Assist with scheduling, labor management, and inventory control
  • Monitor and control inventory, minimize waste, and manage food costs effectively
  • Provide problem solving and conflict resolution support when needed
  • Maintain compliance with health department regulations and company policies
  • Partner with the franchise owners & management team to execute smooth service during peak hours
  • Contribute to achieving KPI goals and operational company targets, when applicable
