About The Position

Hillstone is seeking a skilled and dedicated Culinary Manager to maintain high standards of culinary excellence and ensure smooth, efficient kitchen operations. Newly selected managers receive eight weeks of rotational training on-site. Relocation flexibility is required because Hillstone restaurants are located across the nation. The position offers an annual salary of $100,000–$110,000.

Requirements

Proven experience in hospitality or a similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant environment.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety regulations, and kitchen operations.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of financial management, including budgeting, cost control, and inventory management.
Effective communication skills for liaising with team members, the executive chef, and other departments.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Relocation flexibility is required.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, to deliver consistently high-quality dishes.
Lead, motivate, guide, and train culinary staff to support performance and development.
Collaborate with the management team to ensure products meet standards for taste and presentation.
Monitor inventory, order supplies, manage food costs, minimize waste, and maintain freshness within budget targets.
Implement and enforce health and safety standards, comply with relevant regulations, and promote a safe work environment.
Foster a positive, collaborative workplace and encourage communication and teamwork among staff.
