About The Position

We’re looking for a Kitchen Manager to run the heartbeat of our in-office perks: breakfast and lunch served fresh for our fantastic team. As the Kitchen Manager, you’ll be hands-on every day — prepping, cooking, serving, cleaning, planning menus, managing inventory, and ordering supplies. You’ll lead a small but mighty team by example, set a warm tone in the kitchen, and make sure every meal sends people back to work smiling. Hours are 6:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m., Monday–Friday, leaving your nights, weekends and holidays free.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in Kitchen management, food prep, menu planning and inventory
  • Prior experience in a management position running a commercial kitchen/restaurant
  • Thorough knowledge of food safety procedures and adherence to all Kansas Food Code and other regulations through USDA, FDA and the State Health Department
  • ServSafe® certification or the equivalent
  • Excellent organizational, time management and multitasking abilities
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

  • Develop nutritious, appealing menus for daily breakfast and lunch
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels, order necessary supplies and ensure all deliveries are properly received and stored
  • Communicate and coordinate with food and supply vendors to ensure timely deliveries, resolve issues and maintain positive working relationships
  • Prepare ingredients in advance to ensure efficient meal production
  • Execute timely and consistent food preparation and service
  • Implement strategies to minimize food and supply waste
  • Clean all dishes, work stations, cooking equipment and food storage areas in accordance with food safety regulations
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all kitchen areas
  • Keep kitchen floors clean and safe to prevent accidents and maintain a sanitary environment
  • Empty and clean trash receptacles and properly dispose of waste on a routine schedule
