About The Position
Fueling Brains Academy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Kitchen Helper to join our dynamic team. Fueling Brains Academy has won the Gold Winner status for the Calgary Herald/Sun Readers choice ‘Best Daycare & Best Preschool’ from 2017 - 2022!
Requirements
- Advanced food safety Certification is mandatory requirement.
Nice To Haves
- Completed Police Background Check with Vulnerable Sector.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience working in a food service environment.
- Previous experience working with and in a childcare facility is an asset.
- Excellent physical condition: Able to lift heavy loads (20-60 lbs) up and down stairs.
- Strong command of the English language Self motivated and results oriented.
- Must be flexible within our scheduling .
- First Aid and Child Care Certification are not required but are considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Washing dishes in accordance to AHS specifications
- Safely storing or disposing of leftover food
- preparing food service containers for return to caterers
- Portioning food for the classrooms
- Preparing food to be delivered to classrooms
- Deliver food to classrooms
- Collecting dishes, utensils, and serving containers from the classrooms after meals
- Checking the quality of the food being served through taste tasting
- Offering housekeeping, disinfecting support in areas where needed
