Our purpose is to foster healthy Indigenous people, families, and communities. Our interprofessional teams include health professionals, educators, and support workers representing both traditional Indigenous and contemporary models of care, and use wholistic health and community development concepts. The program operates within the Supportive Services Program. Supportive Housing is a twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week service that offers an in-house nutrition program for clients to access healthy, wholesome and traditional foods according to the Healthy Food Policy and dietary needs of the Supportive Housing clients. NOTE: Traditional practices involving burning sacred medicines including tobacco, sweetgrass, sage and cedar and other cultural protocols occur regularly within our work setting.
