About The Position

Soul Community Planet (SCP) is seeking enthusiastic Kitchen Cooks to join our culinary team at our Provisions Market in Downtown Redmond. SCP focuses on personal wellness, social good, and the environment, offering hand-crafted venues including hotels, coworking spaces, restaurants, and fitness centers. Requirements

  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with urgency and empathy.
  • Food Handler’s card
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Availability to work weekends and Holidays as needed.
  • Positive Customer first attitude.
  • Proactive problem-solver and process-improver.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ Years cooking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare all cold and hot food with care, ensuring it meets food safety and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the General Manager and the rest of the team.
  • Continuously promote sanitation, safety, and security efforts.
  • Embrace and exemplify the SCP Culture & Core Values in day-to-day job duties.
  • Learn and adapt the menu and assist in answering guest questions about the plant-forward plan.
  • Ensure full understanding of the functional areas of the kitchen.
  • Assist with stocking and setting up kitchen stations.
  • Visually inspect, select, and use only the freshest ingredients in the preparation of all menu items.
  • Ensure dishes are prepared and cooked according to specific restaurant standards.
  • Plate prepared foods based on the senior chef's guidance.
  • Ensure proper receiving, storage, and rotation of food products to comply with health department regulations.
  • Wash and clean the kitchen and cooking utensils, and store equipment at the end of shifts.
  • Inspect, plan, and ensure all materials and equipment are in complete readiness for service.
  • Maintain knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
  • Report all accidents and breakages to the General Manager in charge.
  • Adhere to relevant Food Safety Hygiene standards.
  • Remain up-to-date on current safety issues to ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Work in a safe manner and abide by OSHA regulations and the Hotel’s policies regarding accident and incident reporting procedures.
