Requirements

  • A minimum of one-year experience in a cooking role.
  • Excellent listening skills and communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Ability to work under pressure while always maintaining a professional image.
  • Working independently with little direct supervision.
  • Having a well-balanced concern for both tasks and people.
  • Having a genuine concern for the needs of customers.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited school system or program is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize providing exceptional customer service to deliver a positive customer experience thereby cultivating a positive reputation for the company and fostering customer loyalty.
  • Seasoning, cooking, and preparing high-quality food according to company recipes.
  • Using personal judgement and experience in testing food to determine if it has been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing it with utensils.
  • Using kitchen utensils such as knives, peelers, and graters to perform various food tasks.
  • Ensuring that all utensils and cooking equipment are sterilized before and after each use.
  • Accurately weighing, portioning, and/or measuring ingredients.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen as needed in accordance with our cleaning standards.
  • Using manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim food.
  • Regulating the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
  • Washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables to prepare them for consumption.
  • Monitoring and estimating inventory and placing orders for more supplies as needed.
  • Assisting supervisor in planning and pricing current and future menu items.
  • Disposing of expired or spoiled ingredients and recording as Shrink at the end of each shift.
  • Representing ICS both in and out of the store.
  • Adhering to all food safety protocols, standard operating procedures, health and safety policies, and other programs and initiatives.
  • Other duties as required.
