About The Position

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the packaging facility, including the plant, offices, restrooms, lunchroom, and parking lot. Ensures that there is no cross-contamination between designated areas.

• Required to provide proof of authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Operates machine, controls machine speed, clears machine jams as needed, and keeps product and production supplies full.
• Weighs, measures, and tests products to ensure quality standards, including temperature, weight, and fat tests. Records findings on reports.
• Sets up the machine for daily production and assembles production supplies. Lifts, carries, and places machine parts for assembly at shift start.
• Takes product samples to the lab for testing purposes.
• Communicates with production employees for smooth flow of incoming meat for maximal productivity.
• Inspects machine operation and visually inspects incoming product for quality continuously. Removes any debris from the conveyor and corrects product errors when necessary.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of machinery in the work area including lock out tag out procedures and removal of meat scraps from floor.
• Lifts pallet and sack of spices/seasoning.
• Cuts open and fills gondola and pushes gondola to the automatic elevator on the line to be added to the product (includes rework).
• Breaks down machine parts at the end of shift for cleaning and sanitization.
• Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery.
• Assists with department duties as necessary.
• Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
