About The Position

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Kitchen & Bath Sales Representative/Designer. The role involves using creativity and expertise to design residential and commercial kitchens, baths, and other floor plans, requiring knowledge of the 2020 design program. The position focuses on building relationships with walk-in customers and contractors, utilizing interior design skills to enhance sales by selecting colors, lighting, and more. The company offers great earning potential for a self-motivated individual in this commission-based role. The representative will design kitchens, bathrooms, and other floor plans using 20/20 software, handle quoting, and manage the sales/ordering process for kitchen, bath, cabinet, and countertop projects, as well as other design center products. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge on design center products, including design trends, space planning, technical specifications, installation, pricing, and new products, is crucial. The role also involves actively providing customers with information on related items or directing them to other team members for assistance with appliances, flooring, lighting, etc. The position requires meeting or exceeding sales goals set by management.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of 2020 design program.
  • A sense of urgency and self-motivation; ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills with ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Analysis/judgment, market, product, negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills (questioning/probing/listening).
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in kitchen and bath design/sales.
  • CAD and/or 20/20 design program knowledge is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Building industry knowledge preferred.
  • Bachelor degree in Interior Design or related field preferred.
  • Sales skill training.

Responsibilities

  • Design residential and commercial kitchens, baths, and other floor plans.
  • Build relationships with walk-in customers and contractors.
  • Utilize interior design skills to enhance sales by selecting colors, lighting, and more.
  • Assist retail customers and contractors in the design and sale of cabinets and countertops.
  • Design kitchens, bathrooms, and other floor plans on the computer system using 20/20 software.
  • Quote and manage the sales/ordering process for all kitchen, bath, cabinet, and countertop projects.
  • Manage sales/ordering process for other design center products, upgrades, or accessories.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on design center products, including design trends, space planning, technical specifications, proper installation, product pricing, and new/upcoming products.
  • Actively provide customers with information on additional items related to product purchases.
  • Direct customers to other Team Members or departments to complete their projects (e.g., appliances, flooring, lighting).
  • Meet or exceed sales goals as determined by management.
