About The Position

This is a highly hands-on management role ideal for someone who enjoys being actively involved in daily restaurant operations. The BOH Manager will oversee kitchen staff, scheduling, food execution, and overall back-of-house operations while maintaining a strong leadership presence during service. Because we are a smaller, team-focused restaurant, this role requires someone who leads by example and is willing to jump in wherever needed.

Requirements

  • Previous restaurant management experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with scheduling and staff supervision required
  • Strong leadership and conflict-resolution skills
  • Cooking and expo experience preferred
  • Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-player mentality with a hands-on leadership style
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to motivate staff and maintain high standards during busy shifts
  • Background check required
  • Drug screening required

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead all back-of-house staff in daily operations
  • Create and manage employee schedules to ensure proper staffing levels
  • Maintain organization, efficiency, and communication within the kitchen
  • Oversee food quality, consistency, and timely execution during service
  • Assist with expo operations and support line cooks during peak hours
  • Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff while promoting accountability
  • Handle employee issues, difficult situations, and operational challenges professionally
  • Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and health code compliance standards
  • Help foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
  • Coordinate with ownership and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations
  • Monitor labor efficiency and assist with overall kitchen management responsibilities
