About The Position

Ring's End, Inc. is seeking a full-time Kitchen Associate for its kitchen showroom in Darien, Connecticut. The associate is often the first point of contact for customers who call or visit the showroom and provides support to kitchen designers. Day-to-day tasks vary and are performed as needed. The role includes customer service, order processing, data entry, maintaining samples and showroom inventory, and helping keep the showroom in good condition.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with customers daily.
• Organization and attention to detail for tracking sample inventories and orders and performing data entry.
• Basic MS Office skills and an understanding of computers.
• Ability to communicate electronically with customers and vendors and enter orders into ECS.
• Ability to work as part of a team, be flexible, and take initiative as a self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers visiting the showroom about kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, and countertops.
• Handle walk-in customers and phone inquiries, and introduce customers to a designer as needed.
• Enter designers' sales tickets into the internal ticket system.
• Maintain the cleanliness of displays and samples.
• Monitor and replenish literature, cabinet samples, and countertop samples by checking inventory and placing orders as needed.
• Prepare color chip samples by ordering products, coordinating with the shop to cut samples, and printing and applying labels.
• Quote kitchen and bathroom countertops for customers and introduce them to a designer when they are ready to convert the quote into an order.
• Make minor sales of touch-up kits, laminate sheets, and other miscellaneous products.
• Maintain showroom office-supply inventory.
• Maintain the general showroom condition by contacting appropriate employees or a manager as needed.
• Coordinate display requisition orders by consulting with designers, placing and tracking orders, and coordinating delivery.
