About The Position

This Position is responsible for prepping and serving nutritional meals and snacks in accordance with established guidelines and schedules. Ensures all meals are prepared and served in a safe and presentable manner. Cleans kitchen facilities, equipment, and appliances, and maintains inventory of kitchen supplies and food in a neat and orderly manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or Some Schooling
• Food Handler’s Certification (or ability to obtain within established timeframe)
• Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting, and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs), 5-10% of work

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience working in a kitchen is preferred.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Cleans tables, chairs, floors, dishes, utensils, and kitchen appliances, and maintains a high degree of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining room.
• Washes, dries, and stores pots, pans, plates, glasses, cups, bowls, and utensils.
• Sweeps and mops the kitchen and vacuums dining room floors.
• Opens the kitchen, turns on the dishwasher, fills the sink with water, sets up cereal, arranges bowls, refills the milk machine, makes coffee, prepares and stocks condiments, and makes sure the dining room is ready for every meal.
