About The Position

A Kitchen Assistant in an eating recovery center supports meal service and kitchen operations to ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment. This role is crucial for maintaining the standards of food preparation and service within the facility.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Team-oriented with good communication skills
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting preferred but not required
• ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handlers Card

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, portioning, and meal service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment.
• Wash dishes, equipment, and food service areas.
• Receive, stock, and rotate food and supplies using FIFO practices.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Support the culinary team with daily kitchen operations and special projects as needed.
