About The Position

Warm Hearth Village is searching for a dedicated Full Time Kitchen Assistant to become part of the team at the Kroontje Health Care Center. This position can be a steppingstone to further career opportunities throughout Warm Hearth Village and the wider healthcare field. This is a great way to get your foot in the door in dining services and at Warm Hearth Village.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or GED
• Be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
• Ability to walk and stand for the majority of each shift.
• Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and a desire to work as a part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• No previous experience in food service is required

Responsibilities

• Greet residents upon arrival and serve them in a timely manner.
• Assure dining room is cleaned and stocked.
• Wash and sanitize dishes and equipment.
• Handle food in a safe and sanitary manner according to local and state guidelines.
• Communicate suggestions from residents to managers.
• Assist in meal preparation.
• Attend in-service trainings and department meetings.
