About The Position

As a Kitchen Assistant at Cub Creek Science Camp, you will work cooperatively with fellow kitchen staff and the kitchen manager to prepare, serve, and clean up all meals for camp staff and campers. This role offers hands-on experience, opportunities to build your resume, and a chance to connect with a global community passionate about animals and nature. Cub Creek Science Camp provides a unique take on the traditional sleep-away camp, inspiring kids, helping them build self-confidence, and fostering lifelong friendships. The camp runs from June 6 - August 7, with staff training from May 23 - June 5.

Responsibilities

Prepare food in accordance with camp meal plan and recipes as directed by the kitchen manager.
Monitor buffet lines and dining hall during meal times.
Prepare meals in a timely manner with minimal food waste.
Clean dishes after meal prep and serving of each meal.
Maintain cleanliness of meal prep, serving and dining areas.
Sweep and mop kitchen and dining hall after each meal.
Assist with the unloading and stocking of incoming food deliveries and keeping food storage areas clean and organized.
Maintain cleanliness of dining hall bathrooms and handwashing stations.
