About The Position

This role is responsible for the efficient operation of the commercial dishwasher and ensuring the cleanliness of all pots, pans, and utensils. The position also involves assisting with other kitchen cleaning duties as directed. The goal is to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and support the overall kitchen operations.

Requirements

Previous dishwashing experience in a restaurant or senior living setting preferred.
Must have good interpersonal skills.
Must have a strong commitment to customer service and desire to exceed customer expectations.
Must be able to read, comprehend, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, guests, and other team members.
Must meet all health-related and/or food handling requirements pertaining to local or state regulatory agencies.
Must maintain current CPR/First Aid credentials
Must maintain current Food Handlers credentials
Must maintain annual Continuing Education Credits
Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Prepares dishwashing machine for operation on assigned shift.
Washes all pots, pans, utensils, and dishes that have accumulated or are utilized during the assigned shift.
Ensures that all china, glassware, silverware, and equipment are returned to designated areas after cleaning.
Records all wash and rinse water temperatures on the Dishwashing Temperature Log sheet at specified times.
Records notable food waste that occurs on assigned shift, utilizing designated form.
Completes report of broken china, glassware and equipment occurring on assigned shift that is to be discarded.
Cleans the dishwashing machine according to specified procedure at the end of the shift.
Disposes of all garbage from the kitchen and dish room into proper containers outside, throughout the shift as needed.
Breaks down and removes all cardboard from the kitchen and places it into designated recycle bins.
Mops dish room and kitchen floors throughout the shift as needed.
Ensures that the team member break room remains clean by removing used dishes, cleaning the cart, and disposing of garbage as needed throughout the shift.
Assists with other duties on Daily, Weekly, or Monthly kitchen cleaning schedules as assigned.
Assists the cooks and dining room personnel in preparation and delivery of room service trays.
Assists Director of Signature Dining, Lead Cook and Cook with food preparations as directed.
May assist in preparing carts for delivery.
Attends all required team member meetings and in-service training sessions.
Upholds Residents’ Rights as defined by state regulations and by Company policy, at all times.
Supports and upholds all other Company policies, and the service philosophy.
Maintains Reliable and Predictable Attendance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
