About The Position

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A PART TIME JOB DURING DAYTIME HOURS, THIS IS THE JOB FOR YOU! This position is for the Peterson Senior Activity Center Meal Program in Kearney. The Kitchen Aide is responsible for general cleaning, housekeeping, and dishwashing in the kitchen and dining area. They will ensure the maintenance of all kitchen equipment and perform daily clean-up of the kitchen and dining area. Additionally, the role involves assisting in daily meal preparation as needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED. Consideration will be given to individuals without a diploma or GED.
• Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the general public and agency employees.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time (cooking, meal serving, cleaning).
• Ability to lift more than 30 pounds on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning, housekeeping, and dishwashing in the kitchen and dining area.
• Maintenance of all kitchen equipment.
• Daily kitchen and dining area clean up.
• Assist in daily meal preparation as needed.
• Assist on serving line, as needed.
• Clean kitchen area, dining area, and store room area.
• Clean all utensils, cooking vessels, and serving equipment.
• Inventory tracking/reporting as needed.
