About The Position

The Seasonal Kit Assembly Associate plays a key role in supporting Flinn Scientific by accurately and efficiently assembling science kits for customer orders. This position works in a fast-paced warehouse environment and is responsible for ensuring each kit is complete, organized, and packaged to Flinn’s quality and safety standards. Through attention to detail, teamwork, and safe work practices, the Seasonal Kit Assembly Associate helps ensure products are prepared correctly and ready for timely shipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal work instructions.
  • Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and labeling products.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Complete all required safety training and always follow established safety procedures.
  • Read and interpret production orders, work instructions, and SOPs to assemble kits accurately.
  • Assemble, package, and label science kits containing chemicals, supplies, and apparatus.
  • Perform quality and quantity checks at each stage of the assembly and packaging process.
  • Safely operate equipment such as wire machines, paper cutters, electronic balances, shrink-wrap machines, and heat tunnels
  • Work on multiple production orders simultaneously while maintaining organization and accuracy.
  • Record production data, including time and packaging dates, using computer tracking systems.
  • Create and apply product labels using a computer and/or scanning equipment.
  • Stack and move finished products using pallet jacks, carts, or hand trucks.
  • Assist with training new employees and support quality control efforts when needed.
  • Support Distribution Group operations during peak seasons, including summer months.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
