About The Position

Momentum Health is seeking a Part-Time Kinesiologist to join their dynamic team in Calgary, AB. This role involves guiding patients through evidence-informed multidisciplinary care. The clinic offers innovative programs and has a strong referral base. The successful candidate must be able to commit to at least a one-year term. This is an excellent opportunity for those pursuing further education in healthcare professions, as many former Kinesiologists have been accepted into programs after working with Momentum Health.

Requirements

• Degree in Kinesiology
• Excellent knowledge of anatomy and physiology

Nice To Haves

• Previous volunteer or work experience in a Physiotherapy or Multidisciplinary clinic an asset

Responsibilities

• Prescription, application, supervision and education of patient’s Therapeutic Exercise Programs including: AROM, PROM, stretching, proprioception, coordination, balance and strengthening
• Assist Physiotherapy assessments and re-evaluations
• Learn and administer several hands-on treatment techniques including basic trigger point release, MRT, Instrumented Soft Tissue Release, Friction massage and hold relax stretching
• Application and removal of modalities including heat, ice, ultrasound, TENS, IFC, micro-current and Muscle Stimulation
• Assisting with clinic up-keep such as laundry, cleaning patient beds, filling ultrasound gel, and cleaning machines and tools
• Greet patients and ensure they have a comfortable experience in the clinic
• A wonderful opportunity to network with other professionals in the field such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, naturopathic doctors, and registered massage therapists
