About The Position

Pleasantview Elementary School is seeking a passionate and proactive elementary teacher to join their team. The ideal candidate will welcome, appreciate, and respect all staff team members, and be able to engage students, parents, and the community. This role requires a teacher who uses student achievement data to drive instruction and is excited about working with a grade level team to develop a school culture of pride and high achievement. The teacher will also be responsible for scouting resources beyond school to provide opportunities and access for staff and students. Eastpointe Community Schools is dedicated to transforming lives through rapid district turnaround, supported by partnerships with the Macomb Intermediate School District (MISD), Michigan Department of Education (MDE), and the University of Virginia’s Partners for Leaders in Education (UVA-PLE). The district is focused on increasing educational expectations, developing a culture of support, and nurturing all students to address academic, behavioral, and interpersonal needs. They offer 1:1 technology for students, online programs supporting academic curriculum, multi-grade level field trips, and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS).

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Education or beyond
State of Michigan Teaching Certification with Elementary endorsements (ZG, ZN, ZO)
Successful classroom teaching experience
Successful record of leadership
