About The Position

The Galloway School is seeking a passionate, nurturing educator to join our Lower Elementary team as a Kindergarten Teacher beginning in August 2026. Building on the strong foundation of our Early Childhood program, our Kindergarten classrooms are designed to spark curiosity, deepen understanding, and inspire a lifelong love of learning. We are committed to developing the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually—within a Christ-centered community. In Kindergarten, students grow as thinkers and problem-solvers. Through engaging, differentiated instruction, they develop critical thinking, decision-making, and collaboration skills in an environment that both supports and challenges each learner. Our curriculum is delivered through a workshop model that integrates core subjects with technology, project-based learning, and hands-on STEM experiences. Students are encouraged to explore, discover, and take ownership of their learning as they develop ideas, ask questions, and collaborate to find meaningful solutions. Beyond the core classroom, students are enriched through music, art, Spanish, and physical education, as well as opportunities for performance, creative expression, and public speaking. We are intentional about cultivating intelligent, compassionate, and engaged global citizens. Through service learning, students begin to understand the importance of contributing to their local and global communities. Learning extends beyond the classroom through experiences in our outdoor spaces—including the garden and campus environments—as well as field trips that foster connection, curiosity, and real-world understanding. A qualified candidate is a passionate, nurturing educator committed to supporting the whole child within a Christ-centered learning community. They have a strong understanding of early elementary education and child development and create joyful, engaging classrooms where curiosity and meaningful learning thrive. They are skilled in differentiated instruction through a workshop model and integrate hands-on, project-based, and STEM learning experiences that promote critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving. This educator fosters students’ academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth while encouraging independence, creativity, and a love of learning. They are a strong communicator and collaborative team member who builds positive relationships with families and colleagues, engages in ongoing professional growth, and models a Christ-centered life in all they do. The Galloway School values educators who are dedicated to academic excellence, professional collaboration, and the holistic development of each student within a Christian educational environment.
