About The Position

Concord Community Schools is seeking a Kindergarten Teacher for the Ox Bow location, starting with the 2026-2027 school year. The primary function of this role is to plan and implement learning activities aligned with the Corporation’s educational programming to continuously develop students’ knowledge and skills so that they are prepared to pursue college and/or career opportunities. This position requires recognizing the basic dignities of students, parents, families, colleagues, and subordinates, and exercising due care to protect the mental and physical safety of students. The teacher will create a safe, respectful, and orderly classroom environment that promotes students’ academic and social-emotional growth, plan learning activities aligned with Indiana Academic Standards, and implement these activities using Corporation-adopted curricular materials to promote active student learning. Assessment and monitoring of student learning are crucial for responsive instruction. The role also involves initiating and maintaining collaborative relationships with students’ parents and families, and continuously striving to learn and develop new skills to promote student learning. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • The education and educator license or permit required by the Indiana Department of Education
