About The Position

DuBois Integrity Academy is looking for a caring and creative Kindergarten Teacher to join our school community. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education, able to teach all subjects, and dedicated to providing a nurturing environment where young learners can explore, discover, and grow. This role requires a commitment to state standards, data-informed instruction, effective classroom management, and strong communication with parents and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Valid teaching certification/license for Kindergarten or Early Childhood Education.
  • Experience working with young children in an educational setting, with a strong understanding of developmental milestones.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement state standards and analyze assessment data.
  • Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Teach State Standards:
  • Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that cover all core subjects, including literacy, math, science, and social studies.
  • Incorporate play-based and hands-on learning experiences that align with state educational standards.
  • Utilize diverse teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
  • Data Analysis:
  • Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Analyze student performance data to identify learning trends and inform instructional practices.
  • Maintain detailed records of each student's development for reporting and improvement purposes.
  • Classroom Management:
  • Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and structured classroom environment that fosters positive behavior and academic engagement.
  • Implement effective behavior management techniques to ensure clear expectations and consistent routines.
  • Utilize proactive strategies to encourage self-regulation and independence among students.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Establish and maintain open lines of communication with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and classroom activities.
  • Provide regular updates, including newsletters, parent-teacher conferences, and informal communications to ensure families are informed and engaged.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to support school-wide initiatives and contribute to a positive school culture.
  • Additional Duties:
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education trends and best practices.
  • Contribute to school events, committees, and extracurricular activities that enhance the overall educational experience.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of school-wide policies and curriculum enhancements.
