About The Position

A Kindergarten teacher is responsible for creating a developmentally appropriate and engaging learning environment for young students, focusing on foundational skills in reading, writing, math, and social-emotional development. They implement planned lessons, activities, and assessments, while also fostering a positive classroom atmosphere and communicating regularly with parents.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and implement lessons that align with curriculum standards, including differentiated instruction and assessments to meet individual student needs.
• Teach students in a variety of ways, including small group instruction, whole class activities, and hands-on learning experiences.
• Create and maintain a safe, organized, and well-structured classroom environment conducive to learning, while also establishing positive behavioral expectations.
• Observe students, evaluate their abilities and progress, and communicate with parents about their child's development.
• Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and administrators, and collaborate on school-wide initiatives.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
• Meet the needs of diverse learners, providing extra support, enrichment, or variations in instruction.
