About The Position

First Trinity Academy is a private school focused on academic excellence, critical thinking, and individualized learning through small class sizes. We are committed to building strong educational foundations in a structured, nurturing, and engaging environment. We are seeking a caring, energetic, and highly skilled Kindergarten Teacher with a strong background in English Language Arts (ELA) and early literacy instruction, early mathematics, and foundational science instruction. The ideal candidate understands how to build foundational reading and writing skills through systematic phonics instruction, vocabulary development, guided reading, listening comprehension, handwriting, and early writing activities, number sense, and hands-on science exploration while maintaining excellent classroom management. This teacher should be capable of creating a structured classroom environment that balances academic rigor with warmth, creativity, and developmentally appropriate learning.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (required)
Strong understanding of early childhood literacy and phonics instruction
Ability to teach foundational math and science concepts effectively
Excellent classroom management and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

Florida teaching certification preferred, but not required
Experience teaching Kindergarten or early elementary students preferred
Passionate about building strong academic foundations in young learners
Structured, patient, and highly organized
Strong in phonics, reading readiness, and early math instruction
Able to create engaging and interactive learning experiences
Maintains a warm but well-managed classroom environment

Responsibilities

Teach Kindergarten students in ELA, math, science, and other core subjects
Provide strong phonics and early reading instruction to build literacy foundations
Teach foundational math concepts including number recognition, counting, patterns, addition, subtraction readiness, and problem-solving
Introduce age-appropriate science concepts through observation, discussion, and hands-on activities
Develop engaging lessons that support cognitive, social, and academic growth
Maintain strong classroom structure, routines, and behavior expectations
Differentiate instruction to support varied learning levels
Monitor and assess student progress regularly
Communicate professionally with parents and school leadership
Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities
