About The Position

Temple Christian School (TCS) is seeking one kindergarten teacher and one 1st grade teacher for the 2026-27 school year. Applicants should be committed followers of Christ who have been called to Christian education and who are passionate about helping kids grow academically and spiritually. Teachers will be responsible for creating a dynamic and interactive learning environment that encourages 21st century learning. Teachers will be responsible for teaching core content subjects from a Biblical worldview, developing effective classroom policies and procedures, meeting the needs of all students, creating daily lesson planning, assessing student achievement, recording grades, maintaining student records, communicating with parents, collaborating with administrators and teachers, and supervising lunch, recess, arrival, and dismissal.

  • Spiritually mature Christian who can inspire students to grow closer to God and seek His will for their lives.
  • Agrees with the mission and core values of TCS.
  • Certified by the state of Ohio.
  • Strong pedagogical and classroom management skills.
  • Strong Oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to relate well with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about teaching kids and seeing them reach their potential academically, spiritually, socially, and physically.
  • Highly organized and proactive in meeting curricular goals, standards, and benchmarks.
  • Effectively plans, seeks input, and communicates in order to avoid major problems.
  • Ability and willingness to adapt lessons, curriculum, and assignments to accommodate students of different academic and learning needs.
  • Ability to learn and integrate the latest technology to advance learning in the classroom.
  • Willingness to work as a team member by supporting and promoting other programs, classes, teachers, and students.
  • A self-starter who demonstrates a positive attitude and is able to overcome obstacles.
  • Relational with a proven rapport with students, parents, and peers.
