About The Position

Responsible for the safe, orderly, successful, and superior operation of the acac Kids Zone. This role involves managing the Kids Zone team, including scheduling, hiring, training, and performance evaluations. The manager will foster a team culture focused on customer service and goal achievement, while also supporting member issues and ensuring departmental success. Additionally, the role requires creating and supporting special events, maintaining equipment and work areas, and collaborating with other department managers to address club-wide issues.

Requirements

• High School diploma required
• Prior professional childcare experience required
• Prior experience with leading and supervising teams highly preferred
• Must have genuine interest in working with and interacting with children
• Superior customer service and communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Must be able to stand, move, walk, and bend for the duration of a shift
• Ability to stretch, reach, pull, push and use repetitive arm, hand, and leg motion
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Must have ability and willingness to work varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Responsible for staffing the Kids Zone, including maintaining the team schedule, hiring new team members and training
• Monitor team member productivity, provide constructive feedback and coaching
• Create and foster a team culture which is centered on achieving goals with high level of customer service
• Conduct periodic and annual team performance evaluations
• Keep team and members informed of events and activities and encourage participation
• Support and handle member issues; make decisions in consideration of the club’s policies and procedures
• Create and support special events to promote department and club
• Maintain regularly scheduled hours on department schedule
• Ensure equipment and work areas are in safe, working, and clean condition
• Collaborate with department managers to troubleshoot club related issues and ensure an overall high level of success for the club
