About The Position

The Kids Zone Attendant creates a safe, engaging, and enjoyable environment for children in an arts, entertainment, or recreational setting. The role supervises children, leads age-appropriate activities, and supports their well-being while maintaining a secure space free from hazards. The attendant serves as a positive role model, encouraging social interaction, creativity, and physical activity. The role also involves working with parents, guardians, and other staff to address concerns and provide good customer service, contributing to a positive experience for families.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children in a childcare, educational, or recreational setting.
• Basic knowledge of child safety and first aid procedures.
• Ability to pass background checks and comply with safety regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to become certified.
• Training or coursework in early childhood education or child development.
• Ability to speak multiple languages to serve diverse families.
• Experience in conflict resolution and behavior management techniques.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor children in the Kids Zone to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Organize and lead age-appropriate activities that promote creativity, learning, and physical movement.
• Keep the Kids Zone clean and orderly, including regularly sanitizing toys and equipment.
• Communicate with parents and guardians about children’s activities, behavior, and incidents.
• Respond to emergencies or behavioral issues according to established safety protocols.
• Assist with setting up and closing the Kids Zone, ensuring materials and equipment are accounted for.
• Collaborate with team members and the supervisor to improve programming and children’s experience.
