About The Position

Amazing Athletes of Northern Nevada is seeking coaches for their multi-sport enrichment program that covers the Reno, Sparks, and Carson City region. This program teaches children aged 18 months to elementary school age the fundamentals of 10 different sports, introduces them to nutrition and healthy eating, and muscle identification. The role offers above-average pay, on-the-job training, a flexible schedule, and incentive programs. Coaches will ensure a safe and fun class environment using a non-competitive approach and positive reinforcement. The position requires individuals who enjoy working with young children, are physically active, have high energy, and can transport and lift sports equipment.

Requirements

Must enjoy working with kids. Specifically 18 months old to 6 years old.
Be physically active, have high-energy, a positive attitude, while on your feet for hours at a time.
Must be able to transport and lift the sports equipment (one large, rolling duffel bag, weighing 35 to 45 lbs depending on the sport)
All coaches must be open to feedback and strive to be better by attending regular training, following the Amazing Athletes Coaching Manual & Curriculum, and receiving feedback.

Responsibilities

Ensure a safe class environment
Use individual attention to ensure every child is successful in the class
Use a non-competitive approach to ensure classes are fun
Use positive and age-appropriate language to encourage children to do better and celebrate success
Have fun!
Travel to pre-schools, daycares, schools, and other locations throughout the Reno, Sparks, and Carson City area.
Be physically active, have high-energy, a positive attitude, while on your feet for hours at a time.
