About The Position

We’re looking for a passionate, organized, and faith-driven Early Childhood Ministry Associate to recruit, lead, and equip volunteers who help build biblical foundations in the lives of young children, birth - 18 months. Through developmentally appropriate curriculum, trusted relationships with families, and intentional volunteer leadership, you’ll help young hearts take their first steps in faith — while aligning with the mission, vision, and values of Southeast Christian Church. Southeast Christian Church is a dynamic, growing church where staff are encouraged to lead boldly, care deeply, and live authentically. In this role, you’ll be part of a ministry that not only nurtures children’s faith from the very beginning — but also develops you as a leader, servant, and follower of Christ.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or Child Development Associate (CDA) credential (preferred).
  • 2–3 years of early childhood ministry or equivalent experience.
  • Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church or willing to become one.

  • Leads by example fulfilling the staff expectations of groups, inviting, serving, worship and giving.
  • Agree with the Statement of Faith, submit to the leadership established by the church, and live out our church Mantras in tangible ways.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and empower volunteers to create meaningful spiritual experiences for young children.
  • Build strong relationships with leaders and families, offering pastoral care and encouragement.
  • Equip others to share the gospel in age-appropriate and engaging ways.
  • Ensure volunteer teams are well-staffed and supported for every weekend service.
  • Review provided curriculum and prepare classrooms to ensure smooth implementation during services.
  • Partner with the Early Childhood Leader and team to carry out ministry goals and events.
  • Support and participate in church-wide and early childhood special events throughout the year.
