About The Position

The Kids Ministry Assistant works with the broader Athey Kids Ministry team and is responsible for supporting the vision, development, and execution of the Kids Ministry program. This role involves assisting the Athey Kids Coordinator and Kids Ministry Director with various tasks to ensure a smooth and effective children's ministry experience.

Responsibilities

Participate in weekly staff meetings and special events as needed.
Engage as part of a team with Athey Creek staff, always being edifying to one another.
Assist Athey Kids Coordinator with class preparation and management.
Support all aspects of the kids ministry experience under the direction of the Kids Ministry Director.
Assist with administrative tasks, organizational tasks and meeting other needs of the ministry.
Welcome and assist new families with check-in, policies, and questions.
Keep classroom inventory organized and well-stocked between services.
Assist in organizing and cleaning of all spaces and equipment in the children’s area.
Copy and prepare curriculum for all campuses, both digital and print.
Assist in classrooms as needed.
Open and close all kids classrooms for every service.
Assist with campus-wide events (Harvest party, VBS, etc.) that fall outside regular program hours.
Build positive, supportive, and professional relationships with families.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
