About The Position

The Kids Like Us (KLU) Counselor is responsible for the implementation of all components of the Kids Like Us program. Duties include the use of independent judgment and analysis in collaboration with public school counselors and program implementation with fidelity. This includes school-based and community-based supportive counseling groups for youth ages 8 to 18, program evaluation, annual art show implementation, trainings, and community outreach.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
One year of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources.
Ability to provide complete and accurate information on application.
Ability to report all related education, experience, dates and hours of work.
Ability to clearly indicate college degree and major on application, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with youth in a clinical setting.
Administrative staff or professional work experience.
A degree in a helping profession such as Social Work, Counseling, Art Therapy, or Psychology.
