About The Position

The Kids Elementary Associate will help shape and implement a ministry strategy for Elementary Ministry (K-5th) to fulfill the vision of inspiring kids to fearlessly live and love like Jesus. This role will lead the overall COF Younger Elementary Ministry, including Kinder-2nd grade kids, volunteers, and families.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in ministry, education, or relevant field, or equivalent experience
  • Several years of experience in full-time kids’ ministry/leadership
  • Experience in administration, coordination, and event planning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strength in relationship building
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to work independently
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Build a strong and thriving volunteer team to serve the Elementary ministry, ensuring strong safety procedures (e.g., 2-adult-rule in each space).
  • Provide ongoing care and leadership for COF Kids volunteers serving on the Elementary Ministry Team, specifically by developing coaches/directors to lead ministry in your absence.
  • Develop a fun, engaging, and irresistible Large Group team to achieve excellence week in and week out, utilizing Orange Curriculum.
  • Seek opportunities to connect with kids outside of Sunday morning opportunities.
  • Provide pastoral care and training for new and existing volunteers.
  • Manage all volunteer scheduling for weekend services, events, and other facility needs.
  • Ensure all curriculum, resources, and supplies are available for weekend services, events, and facilities.
  • Manage all workflows to onboard new volunteers, connect with new families, restock the COFkids store, etc.
  • Aid in scheduling, registration, and Check-Ins, and provide leadership to the Elementary Team for weekend services, special events (baptism, Wednesday nights, Camps), and other facility needs.
