About The Position

Lead the Summit Kids Ministry at the campus level, build relationships with families, and help provide resources for the families of the campus. The campus staff will work as a team to do whatever it takes for the well-being of the campus. There are additional responsibilities outside of Kids Ministry in conjunction with the campus team.

  • A member of The Summit Church or willing and able to become a member

Responsibilities

  • Weekend Summit Kids Experience: The overall leadership, execution, and implementation of the weekend in Kids Ministry at the campus
  • Implementing all Summit Kids Ministry programs, systems, policies, and procedures
  • Overseeing the implementation of the curriculum provided by Summit Kids ministry
  • Run with fidelity the secondary programming of Awana
  • Responsible for fulfilling the mission and vision of Summit Kids with adherence to the Summit Kids EPOD
  • Knowing, loving, and shepherding kids leaders/team members at the campus
  • Recruiting new volunteers on a consistent basis
  • Setting vision, recruiting, mobilizing, and holding accountable all leaders/volunteers as outlined in the Summit Kids Leader Manual
  • Training the volunteers on a consistent basis
  • Build a group of committed Team Leaders
  • Teach and model Gospel-centered teaching for volunteers
  • Knowing, loving, and shepherding kids and families at the campus
  • Equip and resource parents to be the primary disciplers of their kids
  • Be a part of helping new families find a home at Summit through relationships, small groups, serving, membership, etc.
  • Be a first responder to parents with questions about anything in Summit Kids
  • Lead the partnership with families by pursuing Milestone Events (Parent Commissioning, Launch Weekend, and Gospel & Baptism Conversations)
  • Deal with difficult discipline cases in classrooms
  • Help plan and execute campus events
  • Attend weekly campus staff meetings and monthly All-Staff meetings
  • Attend bi-weekly Summit Kids staff meetings
  • Help follow up with First Time Guests
  • Assist in the overall health of the campus
  • Own and collaborate with the campus and central teams to execute VBS.
  • Serve at large events in Summit Kids, Summit Kids Camp, and various other all-campus events.
  • Any and all other tasks necessary to accomplish the vision and mission of the Summit Church as assigned.
  • All staff members are expected to serve at these church-wide events regardless of the positions they hold.
  • Such events include, but are not limited to: Easter services, church-wide prayer meetings, Good Friday service, and Christmas services.
