Position Summary Columbine Country Club is seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and caring individuals to join our Youth Programs team as Kid's Club Attendants. This position is responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and positive environment for children while delivering high-quality recreational and educational activities. Kid's Club Attendants supervise children of various ages, plan and lead age-appropriate activities, encourage positive social interaction, and always ensure the safety and well-being of participants. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and creating memorable experiences for member families. Successful candidates demonstrate empathy, integrity, respect, responsibility, professionalism, and excellent customer service while supporting the Club's mission and values.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 16 years of age. Candidates age 18 or older may be assigned additional responsibilities consistent with business needs and applicable law.
  • High school diploma or current enrollment in high school, college, or university preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children in childcare, camps, schools, recreation, or similar settings preferred.
  • Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise children in a safe, positive, and engaging environment.
  • Plan, organize, and lead age-appropriate recreational, educational, arts, STEM, physical, and social activities.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records.
  • Promote positive behavior through encouragement, coaching, and age-appropriate behavior management techniques.
  • Assist children in developing communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and social skills.
  • Provide homework assistance when applicable.
  • Supervise transitions between activities and assist during off-site field trips as assigned.
  • Monitor participant safety during structured and unstructured activities.
  • Recognize when individualized attention is needed and respond appropriately.
  • Assist with snack preparation, meal service, set-up, clean-up, and general program operations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe Kids' Club environment.
  • Follow all Club policies and procedures and applicable Colorado Department of Human Services requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Youth Director.
