Kids Club Associate
About The Position
The Kids Club Associate provides primary care for infants, leads independent and group activities for toddlers, and directly supervises older children in a designated gym area. The primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of children while they are in the Kids Club. The role also includes supporting children’s recreational activities, maintaining a clean and orderly space, following Kids Club policies and safety procedures, and communicating with parents or guardians as needed. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic computer skills.
- Infant and Child First Aid and CPR.
Nice To Haves
- Two to three years of childcare experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Care for children in a designated gym area while their parents or guardians attend the gym.
- Organize and participate in recreational activities such as games.
- Read to children and teach simple painting, drawing, crafts, and songs.
- Care for children with special needs as needed, including securing them in equipment such as chairs and slings.
- Organize and store toys and materials to keep the Kids Club area orderly.
- Maintain a fun and energetic demeanor.
- Sanitize toys and play equipment and complete the daily cleaning checklist.
- Help plan age-appropriate weekly activities.
- Complete necessary paperwork.
- Attend required staff meetings.
- Page a parent or guardian when needed for discipline issues or children’s personal needs, including diaper changing, changing clothes, and restroom assistance.
- Ensure parents follow Kids Club policies and sign children in and out of the facility.
- Use the Parental ID check-in process and take required safety precautions when receiving and releasing children to a parent or legal guardian.
- Ensure that no drinks or food are in the Kids Club.
- Remain accountable for children at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
