Kids Central Instructor
About The Position
The Madison Area YMCA is seeking Kids Central Instructors. Kids Central Instructors play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children! This role involves welcoming and engaging with parents during child drop-off and pick-up, providing friendly and professional customer service. The instructor will supervise children using the Kids Central play structure to ensure a safe and positive experience. They will also plan and lead age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity, play, and social interaction. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe Kids Central space, including equipment, toys, books, and activity materials, is crucial. The role also includes assisting with the planning and facilitation of Kids Central enrichment programs and special activities. Responding promptly and appropriately to emergencies, following YMCA policies and procedures, is a key responsibility. Additionally, the instructor must adhere to policies related to boundaries with youth, attend required abuse risk management training, and follow procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising youth. Reporting suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations, and following mandated abuse reporting requirements are also essential.
