About The Position

Help lead the Summit Kids Ministry at Alamance under the direction of the Kids Director - building relationships with families and providing the resources they need to grow. This role oversees weekend execution, which means recruiting, coordinating, and leading large teams of volunteers with administrative precision. The campus staff works as a team to do whatever it takes for the well-being of the campus, so there are responsibilities beyond Kids Ministry in conjunction with the broader team.

  • A team player willing to do what is best for the Gospel and the Summit Kids ministry
  • A member of The Summit Church or willing and able to become a member

Responsibilities

  • Oversee weekend service execution, in partnership with the Summit Kids team
  • Ensure volunteer teams are full and all ministries are covered for Sunday mornings
  • Ensure volunteers are in the correct groups and the kids are in our system correctly through administrative work in Rock (church management system)
  • Manage substitute team
  • Track and follow up on volunteer trends (late call-outs, late arrivals, no-shows)
  • Support volunteers on Sunday mornings however best you can
  • Coordinate curriculum and materials needed for weekend services in rooms/auditorium and work with Kids Director to ensure we have everything we need for the weekend
  • Oversee Summit Kids spaces so they are organized, prepped, and prepared for ministry each week
  • Disciple, coach, and care for our volunteers personally and spiritually
  • Develop and execute First Time Guest strategy for families and kids
  • Oversee weekly communication with volunteers
  • Develop, promote, and communicate Summit Kids events in partnership with Summit Kids Director
  • Help create communication for Summit Kids Families about ministry/events
  • Organize Summit Kids spaces, supplies, and curriculum
  • Create visuals to support ministry events, classes, trainings, and communication
  • Communicate to First Time Guest Families and Kids
  • Assist with any other administrative needs as determined by Summit Kids Director
  • Ensure adherence to the Summit Kids EPOD
  • Actively participate in all Summit Kids related campus events and contribute significantly to whatever the event requires
  • Attend weekly Alamance Campus and Alamance Summit Kids staff meetings
  • Flexibility to any needs of the campus as directed by the Kids Director.
  • Attend bi-weekly kids meeting
  • Attend monthly All Staff meetings as able
  • Participate in church wide events
  • All staff members are expected to serve at these church-wide events regardless of the positions they hold. Such events include, but are not limited to: Easter services, church-wide prayer meetings, Good Friday service, and Christmas services. Serving expectations will be communicated in advance of each event.
