About The Position

The Granite YMCA is seeking Kid Zone Attendants to join our fun, welcoming, and mission-driven team! This is a great opportunity to gain experience in youth development while creating a safe, engaging environment for children as their parents enjoy the YMCA. As a Kid Zone Attendant, you’ll play an important role in supporting families by providing short-term care for children in a positive, nurturing setting for up to two hours per visit. Requirements

CPR/AED and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to engage and supervise children of varying ages in a group setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patient, positive, and energetic approach to working with youth

Nice To Haves

Experience working with children in a childcare, camp, or recreational setting preferred

Responsibilities

Provide a physically and emotionally safe environment for all children in the Kid Zone
Create fun, developmentally appropriate activities for a variety of ages
Build positive relationships with children; actively engage and supervise at all times
Model and promote YMCA core values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility
Ensure the safety and well-being of each child in your care
Monitor parent/guardian sign-in and sign-out; enforce time limits for program use
Build and maintain effective, positive relationships with parents/guardians
Complete required tracking and attendance documentation
Participate in a culture of open feedback and continuous improvement
