About The Position

Responsible for identifying necessary vehicle service and performing the repair, service, and/or maintenance work. This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Duties include examining customer vehicles, identifying necessary repairs and maintenance, estimating repair costs, performing vehicle repairs and maintenance, documenting services performed, and ensuring services are performed efficiently and according to dealership and manufacturer guidelines. The role also involves requesting necessary parts, utilizing technologies to enhance customer experience, maintaining CSI at or above Company standards, keeping an organized and safe work area, participating in required training, accurately recording work hours, following Safeguards rules and regulations, demonstrating Core Values, and complying with Company policies and procedures. Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

GED or High School Diploma
Automotive field of study/work experience
5+ years of desired work experience
Thorough knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge.
Technical training or commensurate technical experience required.
Valid Driver’s License
Certified/senior technician with respective manufacturer.
State inspection/emissions license required by State.
All required manufacturer fundamental training and/or NAPA training provided by HAG.
Meets and/or exceeds manufacturer requirements for ASE tests.
Completed manufacturer training to perform: warranty repairs/recalls on most vehicles, PDI’s, maintenance, and minor repairs.
Basic Computer skills to utilize timekeeping system.
Ability to learn parts department computer inventory and ordering system.
Ability to understand and follow instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
Regular and predictable attendance.
Must be able to lift up to (50) pounds.
Regularly required to talk and hear; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
Ability to deal with standardized situations.
Ability to understand and follow technical manuals.
