About The Position

Value Buds is seeking a motivated and dependable Keyholder/Shift Lead for their cannabis retail stores. As a Keyholder, you will be the primary representative of the brand, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and educating customers about cannabis products. This role is suited for individuals who excel at leading by example, taking initiative during shifts, and providing support to both customers and colleagues in a dynamic retail environment.

Requirements

• Previous retail, customer service, or hospitality experience
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
• Cannabis selling certification (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell)
• Minimum age requirement based on province (18/19+)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Eligible to pass a Criminal Record Check

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer
• Provide product recommendations and cannabis education
• Support daily operations including merchandising and store upkeep
• Operate the POS, handle payments, and issue receipts
• Restock shelves, receive deliveries, and complete basic inventory checks
• Ensure compliance with cannabis regulations, including ID verification
