About The Position

Value Buds is seeking a motivated and dependable Keyholder to join their team. As a Keyholder, you will be the face of the brand, providing exceptional service and assisting customers with cannabis products. This role is suitable for individuals who excel at leading by example, taking responsibility during shifts, and supporting both customers and colleagues in a dynamic environment. The position involves creating a welcoming customer experience, offering product recommendations and education, supporting daily operations such as merchandising and store upkeep, operating the POS system, handling payments, restocking shelves, receiving deliveries, conducting inventory checks, and ensuring compliance with cannabis regulations, including ID verification.

Requirements

• Previous retail, customer service, or hospitality experience
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
• Cannabis selling certification (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell)
• Minimum age requirement based on province (18/19+)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Eligible to pass a Criminal Record Check

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer
• Provide product recommendations and cannabis education
• Support daily operations including merchandising and store upkeep
• Operate the POS, handle payments, and issue receipts
• Restock shelves, receive deliveries, and complete basic inventory checks
• Ensure compliance with cannabis regulations, including ID verification
