About The Position

Value Buds is seeking a motivated and dependable Keyholder/Shift Lead to join their cannabis retail team. This role involves being the face of the brand, providing exceptional customer service, educating customers on cannabis products, and supporting daily operations. The ideal candidate enjoys leading by example, taking ownership during shifts, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Previous retail, customer service, or hospitality experience
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
• Cannabis selling certification (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell)
• Minimum age requirement based on province (18/19+)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Eligible to pass a Criminal Record Check

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer
• Provide product recommendations and cannabis education
• Support daily operations including merchandising and store upkeep
• Operate the POS, handle payments, and issue receipts
• Restock shelves, receive deliveries, and complete basic inventory checks
• Ensure compliance with cannabis regulations, including ID verification
