About The Position

The Keyholder is an in-store position that helps maintain the superior level of customer service and store maintenance Footwise is known for. You'll have the opportunity to be part of a knowledgeable team and become an expert in footwear and foot health. You will be able to share your knowledge with customers and staff to provide the best level of service possible. Footwise is a shoe store where comfort and style mix effortlessly with friendly and knowledgeable service. Since 1983, Footwise has been anchored by an incredible Birkenstock selection, but also carries many other brands of comfortable, stylish footwear focused on making customers' feet happy. Footwise is part of ERHCo Inc, an Oregon-based, family-run business that operates retail shoe stores from Eugene to Hood River.

Requirements

  • At least two years of work experience involving cash handling, required
  • An industrious individual who is eager to meet the needs of their team and customers.
  • A professional who displays it in their personal and store appearance, team and customer interactions.
  • A good communicator with an emphasis on making outstanding first impressions.
  • Able to ensure customer satisfaction regardless of the circumstances.
  • Someone who works well under pressure and handles multiple tasks at once.
  • A team player first while assisting with leading and managing a team.
  • Open to systems and procedures and able to utilize technology efficiently and effectively.
  • Interested in learning about the products and procedures that serve our customers best.
  • Able to identify and solve problems professionally as they arise.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one year in fashion retail, preferred
  • One year of retail leadership experience, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Opening and closing duties
  • Store merchandising
  • Store cleanliness and basic maintenance
  • Maintaining a high level of personal sales, setting the pace on the sales floor.
  • Assisting with staff training and supervision when necessary
  • Inventory management
  • Processing and reporting sales transactions
  • Assist the manager with employee training and development.
  • Respond to internal and external requests courteously and efficiently.

Benefits

  • Training rate, $18.00 per hour
  • Upon completion of training, employees convert to 10% commissions on sales, with a guaranteed hourly rate threshold. With a guaranteed hourly rate threshhold. Performance based, with no cap on earnings.
